  2.  THE MOONBASE.   Written by Kit Pedler.   4 episodes.
  3.                  11th February - 4th March 1967.

  5.  COMPANIONS:- Ben, Polly and Jamie.
  6.  
  7.    The scene is Earth's moon in the year 2070. All of the Earth's weather
  8.  is controlled by a device called the Gravitron. The Doctor arrives to
  9.  discover that a strange disease has broken out. Strange disappearances
  10.  take place and the Gravitron begins to behave strangely; the Cybermen are
  11.  responsible. 
  12.    They plan to use the kidnapped men to take control of the Gravitron and
  13.  destroy the Earth. The Doctor realises that the Cybermen are affected by
  14.  gravitational shifts and that is why they need the humans to operate the
  15.  Gravitron. As the Cyber army approach the moonbase for their final assault
  16.  and the Cyber ships gather, the Doctor regains control of the Gravitron and
  17.  directs it at the moon's surface, shooting the Cybermen and their ships
  18.  deep into space.
